no time to code the link properly right now, but oxegen is crap, can't believe it could be my only way to see NIN. July 10-12th. I guess it means they will be in Europe, hopefully they'll do a proper gig. I've done the half-hour NIN festival gig, it's just not right.

...will fix this post later

Not to downplay your joy, but I'm starting to get REALLY annoyed.

There isn't even ONE date for NINJA near Texas. Not a SINGLE ONE within driving distance. And now they're booking IRELAND? WTF.

*mad*

I wouldn't worry too much yet if I were you. Bookings don't always go in chronological order. Just because some other dates in Europe are announced (and they HAVEN'T been announced officially) doesn't mean more US dates aren't being set up.

They always hit Texas and will probably hit it this time. Just give it a while to be be finalized.

sorry, but, how my post comes across as joy-filled I have no idea! They're playing Oxegen, which is an Irish festival for 15 year old kids who don't know/care about music, they will have a half and hour set, the tickets (for one day) cost over €100 ($130). They haven't played Ireland in almost 20 years. Yes, last time NIN played Ireland (aside from a crappy 8 song set supporting the foo fighters at a festival) was 20 years ago (PHM era). They've never played properly in Ireland, I have always had to fly to London etc. I'm not happy that this is the way Trent decided to return, I wanted to give him a proper Irish welcome, not a crappy oxegen type one.

That's a bummer that they haven't put texas in the list yet, but as meowhouse said, they probably will.

sorry, for the rant-like nature of this post, it wasn't all directed at you, it was more what I feel about it all!

sorry, that should read half an hour, as in 30 minutes, not to be interpreted as 1.5 hours!

Even if they headline, which I doubt, it will still be a short set

eugh i feel your pain - that is a horrible line up just to see nine inch nails! (it seems to be announced here: http://www.oxegen.ie/2009/) Totally wrong headliners as well - the kings of leon and the killers above the pet shop boys and nine inch nails? thats just not right.

im in england and apparently they're strongly rumoured to be playing the Sonisphere festival - and i'm not paying £170 to see them when they're not even headlining (Metallica and Linkin Park are) - so i might have to miss them :(

in retrospect, i guess this should have gone in nin_news :P
